内容简介：
An evolution of satellite-based positioning systems starting with Transit in the early 60s and progressing with GPS and the multi-GNSS constellation now available is presented. The different timing approaches used are reviewed. Positioning methods used with current systems are described and the performance advantages of multi-GNSS are discussed. Complementary systems that offer signals of opportunity (e.g. regional systems, Iridium NEXT) are introduced. Following an introduction to limitations and threats facing GNSS is a review of the rapid evolution of self-contained sensors that can aid satellite signals in improving availability, accuracy and reliability when these signals are partially or totally denied. Noteworthy are the spectacular advances in timing keeping technologies and anticipated advances in inertial sensors in the years ahead that would have a profound impact on positioning and navigation in NLOS environments.
